CATAN: Explorers & Pirates includes 5 novel scenarios, each of which builds upon your previous experience. In each, you explore an unknown sea by ship and build settlements on the discovered islands.

The included scenarios increase in difficulty as you get familiarized with the rules. Adds depth and complexity to your games of CATAN.

6th Edition – Whats New & Compatibility

The main changes with the 6th Editions are the enhanced artwork, components and rulebook.  The mechanics of the game remains the same and the 6th edition is backward compatible with the 5th edition.  That's right you can play any combination of 6th edition and 5th edition base games, expansions and 5-6 player extensions.

To play the Expansions you need the Base Game. You can also combine the different Expansions.  To play the 5-6 player Extensions, you need to have its corresponding Expansion game as well as the Base Game and the Base Game 5-6 player Extension.
